About Me
Hello. I’m a blogger who joined the WordPress community in August 2015. It was one of the best decisions I made.
I’m an aspiring artist and writer. My dream is to write books for children and adults and to illustrate for those works.
While I never been a strong public speaker, I have always loved to write and have found my voice through journaling and short stories. I have even managed to earn some commissions for my art but I would love more.
On the way to trying to realize this dream of mine, I studied as a graphic designer, graduating with an Associate’s Degree in 2014. I might need a Bachelor’s Degree for most lucrative job openings, but I have held off on that for the time being — mostly because the job hunt is full of BS, but I’m still trying.
For now, I would like to work on improving as an artist in several areas and improving as a writer. I am currently working as a contributor to a company that runs a blog. I also work as a freelance blogger. The hardest part for me is the research, but it feels so good to complete a post and use what I learn about SEO in each post.
My assignments have helped me with my personal writing. Besides, I have a lot on my mind and keeping my thoughts in a blog helps me to get those thoughts out and serves as a form of therapy. Some posts require research, so this is also an opportunity for me to learn new things.
Of course, I have other interests. Btw, I have a YouTube Channel called Shmaltz and Menudo (originally: TheOtherShmaltz), but I have not really used it yet to make videos. All I have are three short videos from Mario Kart 8 replays. Stay tuned.

Menudo? do you know this is a Filipino main dish? Interesting blog name. 🙂 hope you can enlighten me what is the meaning of it on your side of the World.

It’s funny that you’d ask. There’s a weird story behind it. 💡 Maybe that should be a topic of another post.
No, I didn’t know that menudo was a main dish in the Philippines. I just knew it as a Latin American soup and the name of a Puerto Rican boy vocal group.

Yes I know Menudo the boy band in the early 90’s if I am correct as I was a child then and had a crush with one of them haha! They went to Manila so many times to perform. Menudo as a dish is so yummy!
