Tagline Creation

I have decided to share my work for Assignment 2 from Blogging 101 on this blog. The assignment called for participants to create taglines for their blogs. Below are my thoughts on the process.

Hello Again, Working on Assignment 2

This is admittedly a difficult assignment for me. I want my tagline to tell any visitors to my site about me and my content in only a few words, but there’s a lot I want to convey. Also, I don’t want my tagline to look too generic. Here are some attempts:

  • An Artist with Many Thoughts on Anime, Money, Politics, Sports, etc.
  • An aspiring artist and writer with a lot on her mind.
  • An aspiring artist and writer who needs over 10,000 characters.
  • Finding my voice in over 10,000 characters.

…but I just don’t think these capture what I want to convey. I’m still working on this.

Additionally, I went back to the default header in order for the tagline to be seen once I’m finished.

Later on…

Working on That Tagline: Basically, I want to capture who I am and what I want to do with my blog. For now, I temporarily went with, “An Aspiring Artist Discussing a Mixed Bag of Topics.” More work needs to be done. Often, it’s hard for me to come up with engaging titles and descriptions in a limited space.

Hmm…

That should be my working tagline: “Finding a Voice in a Limited Space.” It encompasses my struggles with limiting myself at times and making do when I find myself shorthanded. This might work for now.

This will work for now, but I think the tagline will need a bit of tweaking later on. As I type this, I am already working on Assignment 4, and that deals with my audience. That work will ultimately influence my future writing and tagline.

Have any thoughts on the subject? Time’s yours.
